چکیده

Purpose: to evaluate, compare and disscuss the therapeutic efficacy of intravitreal anti- VEGF laser photocoagulation in treatment CSME. Material &Method:We have been selected 100 eyes 50 patients diabetic retinopathy with macular edema (CSME) ,out which 26 were excluded due retinal detachment, neovascular glaucoma, complicated cataract, corneal opacity. Total 74 37 has for study divided into two groups equal numbers eyes. Results: In group 1 92% attained V.A. 6/60 – 6/24 pinhole improved 6/36-6/24 BCVA 6/36-6/18, 8% developed CSME involving centre macula contraindication anti-VEGF ( myocardial infarction) show favourable visual outcome 6/60-6/36 when shifted subthreshold .In 2 85 % finger count meter ,V.A. 6/60-6/24, 10% treated attain 6/6/-6/36 from 1meter. Conclusion:This concluded that is better than photocoagulation.

The impact of macular laser photocoagulation on contrast sensitivity function in patients with clinically significant macular edema.

BACKGROUND Contrast sensitivity is an important aspect of visual function and is even more important for ordinary daily tasks than visual acuity. Contrast sensitivity function may be deteriorated to a significant level in diabetic retinopathy, especially in diabetic macular edema. The objective of this study was to determine the impact of macular laser photocoagulation-as the standard treatment...

Photocoagulation treatment for clinically significant radiation macular oedema.

Macular oedema is a leading cause of vision loss in patients with radiation retinopathy. In an effort to find an effective treatment for this vision threatening complication, 12 eyes (eight patients) were treated with photocoagulation for clinically significant radiation macular oedema (CSRMO) defined as central macular thickening, exudates threatening the macular centre, or one disc area of th...
